A healthier climate is rooted in a strong democracy. A strong democracy is possible when residents are re-empowered to make decisions for their community. Center for Neighborhood Technology worked with Maggie Catania of Calumet Collaborative and Dr. Rachel Scarlett to build the Civic Innovation Hub and strengthen community leadership. By the end of this session, you'll understand how the program recruited and retained participants, centered residents' experiences, championed community organizing, expanded residents' knowledge of stormwater management, and committed to implementation of residents' capstone ideas. You will also a variety of learn tools and strategies to build a similar program from scratch!
