In Maryland, we're developing a DEIJ-focused environmental training workshop module to enable underserved communities to better manage their environment using GIS. We'll discuss the development of this program and its role in supporting the communities most in need. In the process, you will learn how to use accessible GIS tools like MERLIN, EJSCREEN, and Climate Justice to make informed local planning decisions. Our initiative encourages communities to integrate their data, creating solutions tailored to their specific environmental needs. This is fundamentally about fostering collaboration and inclusive participation, making sure diverse voices are actively involved in protecting our waterways.
